Staff members kick up their heels at Employee Appreciation Day

Thank you for the food donations!

Your generosity during UNC’s campus-wide food drive impacted many individuals and organizations benefiting from the Employee Forum’s Food for All drive.

Thanks to you, 1,845 pounds of food and more than $200 was collected during the Food for All drive. This amounts to 2,761 meals for those hungry in North Carolina.

October Update from Staff Assembly

Representatives from the Employee Forum traveled to Western Carolina University for a meeting of the UNC Staff Assembly Oct. 16-18. Highlights of the meeting included a discussion of system-wide issues, election of new officers, and a reception with Chancellor David Belcher and his wife, Susan Brummell Belcher.

We encourage all staff to explore opportunities provided on campus through Organization and Professional Development in the Human Resources. To register for an upcoming class: Visit the ConnectCarolina website and sign in with your Onyen and password. Select Training Enrollment under the Self Service tab. You can search by “Course Name” or by a specific “Course Date.”

Campus engagement forums on UNC-Chapel Hill strategic plan

Please join Chancellor Carol L. Folt and University administrators to learn more about Carolina’s strategies and priorities for the future. The University’s Strategic Framework will help guide Carolina’s decisions and shape its direction for the next decade and beyond. Feedback requested on strategic plan for the UNC System

The Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina System is in the process of developing a strategic plan that will guide decision making in the years ahead.

All UNC-Chapel Hill students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in an open forum hosted by senior leaders from UNC General Administration and UNC-Chapel Hill from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10 at the Center for School Leadership Development Board Room (behind the Friday Center)

Panel discussion on women and gender issues in politics

What are the most important and relevant issues for women and women-identified individuals, which our elected officials should be made aware of, regardless of who gets elected? Join the Carolina Women’s Center for a panel presentation and discussion; learn about the issues and be sure your voice is heard! Contact Gloria Thomas, Director, with questions. The 2016 UNC Global Passport Drive will take place 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Nov. 15 and 16 in room 4003 of the FedEx Global Education Center.

Officials from the U.S. Department of State are on campus once a year to accept passport applications and renewal applications and to answer questions from Carolina students, faculty, staff and their families.
