What's new with the Forum

Employee Forum monthly meeting on Mar. 1, 2017

All campus and community members are invited to this open meeting. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of month in the Stone Center Hitchcock Multipurpose Room starting at 9:15 a.m.

Nominate yourself or a colleague by Mar. 7 to serve on the Forum

Are you concerned about policies and how they affect University employees?

Do you have the desire to speak for and represent your fellow staff members on certain issues? Is service to the University something in which you are interested?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, come join the Employee Forum!

Community service opportunities: March 2017

Mark your calendars: UNC Employee Forum sponsored Habitat for Humanity build!

The Employee Forum and other staff groups across campus will sponsor a build day for Habitat for Humanity in early April 2017! The home being built in Chapel Hill’s Northside neighborhood will be gifted to a UNC Staff member, Thein Oo and his family. Read more.

Carla Rodriguez

Carla Rodriguez, Coordinator in New Student & Carolina Parent Programs, shared her experience as a volunteer for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

"My volunteer position was a National Olympic Committee (NOC) Assistant to the delegation from Kosovo."

Interested in serving on the Forum's Community Service Committee?

In coordination with members of Carolina Center for Public Service, Carolina Union Activities Board and other campus organizations, we host various community service events throughout the year. The committee also advertises ways in which UNC Employees can participate in community service throughout Chapel Hill and the wider North Carolina community.

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. in Stone Center Hitchcock Multipurpose room.
