Forum proclaims appreciation for UNC Housekeeping staff

On Sept. 23, 2016, Employee Forum Chair, Charles Streeter presented Interim Director of Housekeeping Services, Herb Richmond, with a Proclamation of Appreciation for our housekeeping staff at their banquet.

“It was an honor for me to attend the Housekeeping Appreciation event. The staff doing awesome work to keep buildings clean and hygienic while also having an impact on the students with whom they come in contact. I have heard and seen numerous examples of the positive things members of the Housekeeping staff do and have done that help students to be successful and thrive at Carolina. To all the members of the UNC Housekeeping Team, thank you,” reflected Mr. Streeter.

The annual Housekeeper Appreciation Week banquet is an opportunity to highlight the importance of our front line staff. Several administrators and other university constituents delivered words of appreciation to the staff at the start of the event, followed by a catered meal. After the meal, drawings were conducted for door prizes. Housekeeping staff were also entertained by the Zone Managers and Assistant Directors, who competed in “minute to win it” style games.
