A message from the UNC Board of Governors:
The Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina System is in the process of developing a strategic plan that will guide decision making in the years ahead.
The strategic plan is centered around the following five themes: access; student success; affordability and efficiency; excellent and diverse institutions; and economic impact. For additional information on these themes, as well as information regarding the overall process, please visit the UNC Strategic Planning website.
For any strategic plan to be meaningful and successful, it is essential to understand the perspectives of as many individuals and constituencies as possible. Therefore, we would appreciate it if you would provide feedback to the Board of Governors.
[NOTE: We realize that UNC-Chapel Hill is also engaged in its own university-wide planning initiative. This UNC System effort is separate from Carolina’s planning process.]
BOG Strategic Planning Forum
All UNC-Chapel Hill students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in an open forum hosted by senior leaders from UNC General Administration and UNC-Chapel Hill from 3 – 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10 at the Center for School Leadership Development Board Room (behind the Friday Center), Directions to CSLD are here. There is plenty of free parking available. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your feedback on the strategic themes and priorities.

UNC General Administration, in consultation with the UNC Faculty Assembly, have also developed a survey organized around the five themes and encourage your participation.
