thank you Food for All drive

THANK YOU! Your generosity during UNC’s campus-wide food drive impacted many individuals and organizations benefiting from the Employee Forum’s Food for All drive.

Thanks to you, 1,845 pounds of food and more than $200 was collected during the Food for All drive. This amounts to 2,761 meals for those hungry in North Carolina.

In conjunction with the General Alumni Association’s Tar Heel Service Day and the University’s Food for All theme, your donations benefited UNC’s Carolina Cupboard and the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, which serves areas affected by Hurricane Matthew. Donations also contributed to Harris Teeter’s Million Meals Challenge, a competition between UNC-Chapel Hill, Duke University, North Carolina State University and Wake Forest University to raise the most food throughout the 2016 – 2017 athletic season.

You can continue to make food drive donations and help those affected by Hurricane Matthew. See UNC’s efforts in response to Hurricane Matthew at ccps.unc.edu/HurricaneMatthew.

You made all the difference in fighting hunger in North Carolina and for that, we thank you.
