Employee Forum Annual Report 2021-2022

This committee publishes InTouch, the Employee Forum’s monthly newsletter, and maintains the Employee Forum’s website and social media accounts. The committee also works to increase staff engagement and comradery through the annual Scavenger Hunt and Employee Forum Book Club.

InTouch:

The committee published four issues of the InTouch newsletter over the academic year. The newsletter went out to approximately 8.8k subscribers and was opened on average by 28% of the mailing list.

Book Club:

The Employee Forum Book club was revamped and run by Brooke O’Neal. Starting in January the book club meets every other month at noon on the 4th Thursday. Through Brooke’s leadership, the Book Club now has a Microsoft Teams page with over 60 members, as well as guaranteed free resources from the campus library for the selected books. 

Website:

Aided by the volunteer efforts of Paul Cardillo, from ITS Digital Services, the Employee Forum has begun updating its official website. Through the Spring and Summer of 2022 Paul has updated the platform, style and organization of the website. The new site should go live September 2022.

Future Business:

During the Fall ‘22/Spring ‘23 year the Public Relations and Communications Committee will:

  • Continue publication of the InTouch newsletter
  • Launch the new website
  • Resume coordinating the Scavenger Hunt held during Employee Appreciation Day (suspended previously during the Pandemic)
  • Aim to record and release two more episodes of the podcast InTouch with the Employee Forum
