Concerning Expansion of Educational Assistance Opportunities for UNC-Chapel Hill Employees
RESOLUTION OF THE EMPLOYEE FORUM
THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHAPEL HILL
September 1, 2004
WHEREAS, the Mission of the Employee Forum is to address constructively concerns of employees of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; and
WHEREAS, those concerns include financial assistance for employee education; and
WHEREAS, those funds should support educational opportunities beyond job related prospects; therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, the UNC-Chapel Hill Employee Forum recommends to Chancellor Moeser that the University:
1. Increase the maximum annual funds of the Educational Assistance Program from $250 to $350 for University employees; and
2. Allow Forum funds of the Educational Assistance Program to be used for both job and non job related educational activities.
