Supporting Administration Efforts to Secure Fiscal Support from the Governor and Legislature
RESOLUTION OF THE EMPLOYEE FORUM
THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHAPEL HILL
May 3, 1995
WHEREAS, the Mission of the Employee Forum is to address constructively the concerns of the Employees of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; and
WHEREAS, the prospect of possible staff cutbacks and reduced departmental operating budgets in a time of overall economic prosperity is of global concern to this University; and
WHEREAS, the Administration has appeared before this Body on numerous occasions with assurances that funds are available; and
WHEREAS, a uniform resolve on the part of this institution will be more effective in dealing with this particular situation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Employee Forum goes on record as supporting the Administration’s efforts to secure the best fiscal support, including fair and equitable salary increases, from the Governor and the Legislature; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter signed by all Delegates and First Alternates endorsing the efforts of the Administration in this regard will be sent to the Leadership of both Houses of the General Assembly and to the Governor.
