Concerning Expansion of Education Assistance Opportunities for UNC-Chapel Hill Employees
RESOLUTION OF THE EMPLOYEE FORUM
THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHAPEL HILL
May 3, 2006
WHEREAS, the mission of the Employee Forum is to address constructively the concerns of employees of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; and
WHEREAS, those concerns include financial assistance for employee education; and
WHEREAS, those funds should support educational opportunities beyond job related prospects; therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, the UNC-Chapel Hill Employee Forum recommends to the Chancellor that the University, to increase the maximum annual funds of the Employee Assistance Program from $350 to $500 for University employees; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, to allow the Staff Development Funds to be used for both job and non-job related educational opportunities.
