Communications:

  • Continued to publish our InTouch monthly e-newsletter across campus
  • Actively used our FaceBook page
  • Stayed active on Twitter, including live tweeting Employee Forum general meetings
  • Maintained website updates as needed
  • Continued to use Listservs – Divisional emails, new employee emails is a future goal

Events:

  • Starting our 4th year of monthly Book Club meetings, organized by Dawna Jones
  • Hosted our 3rd annual Social Media Scavenger Hunt on Employee Appreciation Day in October
  • Held a Twitter basics class with Andy Bechtel, School of Media and Journalism in the fall
  • Future goal to provide an Instagram or Snap Chat class for employees next year
  • Helping to plan the 25th Anniversary Celebration of the Employee Forum in October

Collaboration and Advocacy:

  • Assisted the Membership and Assignments committee with promotion of delegate elections
  • Assisted the Community Service ad hoc committee by highlighting events in the e-newsletter
  • Assisted the Recognition and Awards committee by promoting the selection process
  • Assisted the publicity for the Carolina Family Scholarships and Janet B. Royster award
  • Still waiting to see if there will be a Rebecca Clark award announced at University Day 2017
