Concerning International Housekeepers Week
Proclamation of the Employee Forum Executive Committee
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Ratified by Employee Forum Full Body on October 4, 2023
WHEREAS, UNC-Chapel Hill Housekeeping Services staff support the university’s mission of teaching, research and public service and;
WHEREAS, UNC-Chapel Hill Housekeeping Services employees are integral to maintaining campus function and;
WHEREAS, UNC-Chapel Hill Housekeeping Services staff provide a professional, clean, safe and sanitary environment for members of the university community and;
WHEREAS, The Employee Forum Executive Committee recognizes UNC-Chapel Hill Housekeeping Services for going above and beyond in response to the emergency incidents that occurred on campus on August 28, 2023 and September 13, 2023 and;
WHEREAS, September 10-16, 2023 is recognized as International Housekeepers Week and;
WHEREAS, UNC-Chapel Hill is recognizing this occasion on Thursday, September 21, 2023 and Friday, September 22, 2023;
BE IT PROCLAIMED that the Employee Forum Executive Committee recognizes the invaluable contribution of Housekeeping Services staff and wishes to extend its appreciation for their continued efforts.
