(Chapel Hill, NC)–Staff at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill have much to be thankful for this Employee Appreciation Day. After a week of cold wind and rain, the Carolina blue skies and mild weather have set the scene for a day of fun outdoor entertainment.
The Office of Human Resources at UNC-Chapel Hill is sponsoring its annual Employee Appreciation Day event full of activities and free food for staff.
Tents and information booths line the courtyard in front of Davis library. Facilities employees are gathering around the basketball hoops, while others help themselves to a complimentary breakfast of fruit, bagels and coffee provided by Carolina Catering.
In the Great Hall of the Student Union building, departments have set up table displays with raffles, swag and information about their programs.
Employee Forum assistant Matt Banks said, “The room is not yet full but the vendors are here and ready to serve. People are excited about this year’s event. We’re expecting a big turn out.”
Departments will be tabling until 3 p.m. today. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information about the event, check the Office of Human Resources website.
Stay tuned for updates throughout the day on the Employee Forum website.
